Hi I'm Katy Leigh

I'm a nursing major, an Auburn fan, and a soon-to-be missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

About Me

I'm a Sophomore transfer student. I've had three majors so far in my college career- premed, graphic design, and nursing. I love ski, hang out with my friends, draw, watch football, travel, and read. I'm always up for a new adventure.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS faith, i.e. both my parents are members. However, both my parents are also converts. This has given me the awesome experience of having a very close relationship with people of other faiths. It also allowed me the experience to attend many different churches with my relatives. There is much good in all other religions of the world but I have never felt God's presence like I have when I attend the LDS Church. I've prayed about the Bible and Book of Mormon and know both to be true. I know that our Heavenly Father loves and knows each and every one of us. I know that Christ is our exemplar and that His Atonement is the most precious gift we've been given besides life itself. I know that we can have a personal relationship with God and Jesus Christ. I know there are doctrines in the Book of Mormon that no other religion has the fullness of that are true.

How I live my faith

Living your faith isn't always easy- we all make mistakes. I always try my hardest to love people as Christ would. I fall short of this often, but I hope that I've been able to influence people's lives for the better. As for my participation in church callings, I've been on committees for my youth and college-level groups.
