Hi I'm Khemia

I'm always laughing, making a mess, and having fun! I'M A MORMON!

About Me

I am from Sandy, Utah. Born and raised! I have been a member of the church my entire life and couldn't imagine my life without it. It most definitely is the foundation of who I am. I am the type of person who loves to have fun and loves to do crazy things! I love to laugh! It seems like I am ALWAYS laughing! I believe that life is not only to be endured but to be enjoyed! There are so many positives in life! I believe life is to short to be negative.. and to wear boring socks! My family is so important to me and I love being with them, I am the fourth of five children (3 Older sisters and 1 younger brother!). I am also lucky enough to be an aunt to the 2 cutest kids in the world! We love to hike and go to the park together! I also love to play sports; basketball and volleyball are just two of my favorite! I love nail polish, pinterest, shopping, oreos, adventuring, reading, and listening to and playing music! But basically anything active and fun I am in! I'm always up for an adventure!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is the only thing that makes sense for my life. I have been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints my whole life. But there came a time in my life where I had to decide for myself if I knew that it was true. I came to know what it felt like to not have the guidance from Heavenly Father, and came to the conclusion that I would never let that happen again! I know that the more that I turn to Heavenly Father the more He will bless my life. Likewise, the more time I give to Him, the more time He gives to me. I am a Mormon, because I find joy and peace each day living what I know to be right. Being a Mormon has brought me peace knowing why I am here and where I am going. No matter what challenge has occurred in my life, I have found peace in the church and it's gospel. I have truly felt the love that the Lord has for me and know that I am never alone.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by the little actions of everyday life. Just because someone is not watching does not mean that I won't help out and live my standards and do what I know to be right. I allow my life to be guided by my loving Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ and trust in what they would have me do. I pray daily, seek guidance from the scriptures, and attend my church meetings. Without those constants in my life, I know I would not be as happy (As cliché as that sounds!). Through the gospel I am able to gain my strength and stability in life.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is founded on principles of the gospel a person knows to be true. For example, when I was younger my parents had a testimony. They knew the church was true and they knew Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ live. They knew this and so they taught me this. Well I was never able to know if this was true just because they told me. I had to test it out and find out for myself if it was true. So I prayed! Our testimonies don't just come from people telling us about something. They come from personal experiences! So try it out! Gain your own testimony! Read the Book of Mormon and Pray and you can gain your own testimony! :) Show more Show less
