Hi I'm Mariah

I love life, love being happy, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently attending college in Utah. I was also born and raised in Utah and plan on eventually settling down here after traveling the world a little bit. What can I say- I love Utah! I have the absolute greatest family on the planet and I'd do anything for them. I love food. Italian and Mexican are my favorite, but I'll eat pretty much anything besides seafood. However, I'm going to start loving it soon because I'm going to serve an LDS mission in Australia for 18 months- I can't wait!!! Music is also another one of my passions. It's a big part of my life and I can't imagine trying to get through hard times as well as great ones without it. The biggest and most important part of my life is religion. Anything and everything in my life revolves around it. And I wouldn't have it any other way!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church, so ever since I can remember I've been taught the principles of this gospel. I don't think there has ever been a time in my life thus far that I've doubted anything that I've been taught. It all feels right. It all makes me happy. As I compare my life as a Mormon young adult to those of other faiths, I feel blessed beyond measure. I am completely happy and satisfied with my life and how I am living it. I feel true happiness. I don't find pleasure in material things. I mean, not "real" pleasure. Sure, those things bring some satisfaction for a little while, but nothing compares to the true joy and happiness this gospel brings. As I've lived my life according to the standards our church members hold, I have found that I am so happy, there is absolutely no way this church couldn't be the true church! This gospel is exactly the same as the gospel that was on the earth when Christ was. It is the exact same gospel that he taught. In fact, those of other faiths even say it is! If you don't believe me, find out for yourself. This gospel brings true happiness- eternal happiness. I don't know what I would do without this gospel. I don't want to know what kind of a person I would be without it. I wish everyone knew about this gospel. I wish everyone knew how much God loves them and how happy they could be when living this gospel. That is why I have decided to serve an LDS mission for 18 months. If I could just share this true and amazing happiness with just one person, I would be satisfied.

How I live my faith

Growing up I have had many opportunities to serve in my church. Since I was twelve years old I've had the privilege of holding positions that enable myself to serve the other people- especially the young women like myself. Right now I am serving as a committee co-chair that teaches those called to teach certain classes during our church meetings how to teach. What a great blessing! I've learned more myself than those I've taught, I'm sure. It's such a humbling and exciting experience!
