Hi I'm Sydnee

I am from Utah, a lover of the outdoors , and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student studying Outdoor Recreation Management. I love to backpack, mountain bike, and rock climb. Anything that is in the outdoors is usually up my alley. I just got back from a trip to Havasupai on the Indian Reservation. It was so amazing! Basketball is my favorite sport to play and to watch. Go Jazz! I have a loving family and great friends that have always supported me. Family is a very important part of my life. I have recently been called to serve a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in South Dakota. I am excited to serve!

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised a Mormon. It has always been apart of my life, but just like those who join the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints have to find out for themselves if it is true, so did I. This gospel is centered on Christ and His atonement. It is full of hope and comfort when we struggle and when we are happy. Another keystone to this gospel is the Book of Mormon. It is another testament of Jesus Christ. I have read and prayed to know if it is true, and I know without a doubt that it is the true word of God. It is a book full of hope and guidance for everyone! One of the main reasons I am a Mormon is because it makes me happy. It makes me want to shout out to everyone that it is true and that it will make you happy! I want them to feel the way I do. Being a Mormon not only makes me happy, but helps me become the person I want to be.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by being the best person I can be. It is about constantly trying to be a better person and improving myself. I have high standards that help me to be the person I am striving to become. I abstain from alcohol, drugs, and swearing. I dress modestly and keep myself morally clean. I participate in my ward by fulfilling my calling. I was in charge of ward prayer in the singles ward. It was a time to socialize with people my age and then hear a short thought and end with a prayer. It is a great way to meet new people and make friends!
