Hi I'm Chris Lamb

I grew up in the USA. I served a two year mission in New Caledonia. I speak French. I am 22 and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am a 22 year old boy, who was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints. I was blessed to be able grow up in this gospel of Jesus Christ. I am now attending college, where i am studying chemistry. I enjoy playing basketball, football and frisbee and I love watching the NFL.

Why I am a Mormon

As I have said before I have been blessed to have been born into this church, one could say that I was born a Mormon. I was able to grow up in the gospel of Jesus Christ and for that I will be eternally grateful, but I have not always believed. My childhood was ideal and I could not ask for a better family, but growing up I always doubted the beliefs of my parents. I attended church, I learned the gospel, I was a member, but I was not converted. It wasn't until I was 19 years old that I started to question why I was doing it all. I had a lot of questions and it seemed as if no one could give me a concrete answer. I questioned if there was a God? if He really existed or if it was all made up? I questioned if there was a God who was He? I questioned how I could know what was real and what was fake? These questions seemed to eat at me, and I began to lose hope of ever knowing for myself. I remember asking advise from those whom I trusted and they told me that the only way that I could know for myself would be to ask God. My parents taught me how to pray when I was young so I was no stranger with talking to God. I decided that night to humble myself and ask first of all if He was there, and second of all what it was that He wanted of me. I can testify that I know that there is a God, for that night I felt Him. I did not see an angel nor hear a voice, it was simply a feeling. A feeling that pierced my very soul, warmed my body, and gave me goose bumps. It was small, but unmistakable. I continued to search, and I can say that I have found what I was looking for. That is why I am a Mormon, and I am proud of it!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by taking the example of our savior Jesus Christ and applying it to my life. By showing kindness to those around me, by comforting those who need comfort, and by helping those in need. I guess one might say that I try to remember all that Christ has done for me, and then I pass it on.
