Hi I'm Melissa

I'm a nanny. I'm a student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a nanny to my three nieces and nephews. I love being with them and learning how I can be a better mother in the future. I love being able to help people which is why I made the decision to major in nursing. I can't wait to start my schooling and be able to do what I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the LDS faith. When I was growing up I learned to depend on my parents testimony of what they knew and learned. As I got older there was a time in my life when I knew I needed to figure things out for myself and have that personal revelation that I was living this gospel for me and not for my parents. I know without a shadow of a doubt that I know this gospel is true. I know the Book of Mormon was translated by the prophet Joseph Smith and that he really saw the Father and His Son. I know we have a living prophet on the Earth today who receives revelation for us and speaks through the Lord.

How I live my faith

I love working with children so when I got the calling to help in the nursery, which is the class with children who are 18 months to 3 years old, and after that I was called to work with the Sunbeams which is the class for children 4-5 years old. I loved having these callings and seeing the children grasp the concepts of the gospel was so rewarding to me as their teacher. I am also a visiting teacher and have the opportunity to visit and teach with a few specific sisters in the ward. I love being able to get to know them on a more personal level.
