Hi I'm Jaxon Didericksen

I was born in Logan, Utah. I enjoy baseball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated high school and am now preparing to serve a mission in August. I enjoy basketball and baseball. My family and I spend time with each other on vacations to various locations, not necessarily exotic, but we have fun! We also find joy in spending time in the mountains, whether it is riding motorcycles or camping. I am an avid bowler. I spend a lot of time at the bowling alley, but it has brought me many fun memories. I am from Utah, but for some reason I love Boston sports. I am always cheering for the Celtics and Red Sox. My favorite athlete is Red Sox right fielder Mookie Betts, because he combines two of my favorite things: Baseball and Bowling. Although all of these things are part of me and my life, the most important thing to me is the Savior Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because this church has done nothing but bring joy and peace into my life. I am a member of this church because I know that it is the only church acting under the proper priesthood authority of God on this earth. I know that the Book of Mormon is the single most true book and that it is the word of God. I know that Joseph Smith had his faults, but I also know that he was a Prophet of God and that he saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. I know that he translated the Book of Mormon through the power of God. I know that Thomas S. Monson is God's Prophet on earth today and is the only one that holds all the keys of the priesthood. This is my testimony and reason of being a Latter Day Saint.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by simply trying to be a good example. Life is always a little bit better when you are serving someone else. Along with being a good neighbor I do other things to show my love and devotion to Christ. I spend time in the Book of Mormon, Bible, and other church manuals each week. I try to make the Book of Mormon a part of my study everyday. I attend church regularly each Sunday and serve in callings or any other way I can. I've learned in my short time here on earth that this gospel is about giving and loving others. I try each day to become better, but I know I will always have shortcomings. Through Jesus Christ I am able to get back up and continue to try to become more like Him.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Jaxon Didericksen
A testimony is a personal witness of truth given by the Holy Ghost. It is the foundation of one's belief in Jesus Christ. A testimony can be received by sincere prayer, church attendance, and scripture study. Testimonies are gained through experiences and most importantly faith. In order to gain a testimony one must be humble enough to learn and patient enough to act in faith. Show more Show less
