Hi I'm Hannah

I'm an artist, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in Lindon Utah. I lived for one year in Costa Rica. I love to paint, and to draw. Indie music is one of the loves of my life. I have dance moves like you wouldn't believe. Eating is a true passion. I love to laugh, even if it is at my own jokes. I've been to a semester at Utah State University, and plan to figure out where I'll finish soon. As for right now I have the privilege of serving a full time mission, and I'm loving every minute of the time I have to serve my Father in Heaven.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been raised in the Church my entire life, it was something that was always a part of my family. When I was twelve years old I decided that I wasn't going to be part of something unless I truly knew it was right for myself. I decided to read the entire Book of Mormon, and then take the challenge to really pray about it. As I read I started recognizing a change in my life, I was happier and more lively during the day, and I had a much easier time sleeping at night. The changes were subtle, but they were definitely there. Finally when I finished The Book of Mormon, I knelt down to ask Heavenly Father if it were true. I truly wanted to know, and I think because of all the changes I really wanted it to be true. I felt the Spirit so warm in my heart, and in my head I knew that it had to be true, something that had changed my life in subtle but significant ways couldn't have come from anywhere but a loving Father in Heaven. From that point on I wanted to have the knowledge of all of it for myself. I began praying every morning and night, and studying all the doctrine. I can say now more than ever that I truly know that this church is true. It has changed my life forever. I love the gospel with every bit of my heart. I know we have a savior who continues to care for us, I continue to use his atonement, and I am so grateful for it. Joseph Smith saw God the father and Jesus Christ, he translated The Book of Mormon. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is true, I love it with all my heart.

How I live my faith

Right now I have the opportunity to serve a full time mission for the Church. Which means for the next 18 months I have given my life completely to my heavenly father. Everyday I wake up at 6:30 and get on my knees to pray to my heavenly father and begin my day. We share what we know to be true with all those who are ready to hear it. I love to see the change that this gospel has in the lives of those we meet. Life is a blast as a missionary!

Why do Mormon missionaries proselyte?

Hannah
Most people have the desire to see people be happy. If you had a cure for the common cold, you'd want to share it with everyone. It's the same way with the missionaries, they know the truth about this religion, and it makes them so happy, so they want to share it with as many people as they can. I know how much happiness that the church has brought to me, and I know it can do the same for everyone. I'd really love to see that light that comes throught the church be a part of as many lives as possible. It's an amazing blessing to know, and I would love the opportunity to share that knowledge.
