Hi I'm Jessica Katherine Griffiths

Hello! I am so excited to be apart of a church that is so welcoming! I am a convert & everyday I am thankful for Heavenly Father.

About Me

I am a single mother. I love the line of work that I am in. I love helping others who can't help themselves, I feel that everyone should help service our elderly community. I like to do crafts and have recently gotten into sewing. I am hoping I can learn quickly and start making things without having to redo them several times! I am a convert to the church and I got baptized September 1, 2012. I first walked into the LDS church on August 19, 2012 and just decided I was going to investigate. then the faithful missionaries came EVERY DAY with the exception of Mondays.. however couples from the church came on Mondays. I was constantly learning and at night it was really hard to go to sleep because I just wanted to read more of the scriptures and learn more about my new faith! I am so blessed that something woke me up that morning and got me into the church.. i remember not wanting to go and thinking, "well... no one is expecting me so i wouldn't' be letting anyone down" but I hurried and got my daughter and I dressed and it has been wonderful ever since! I truly believe the holy ghost was pushing us out the door that day! it was such a great day!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe the faith. I believe the book of Mormon is true. I was once a doubter until I tried to rove the book of Mormon wrong. I realized how right it was! I was sorry then that I had ever doubted the gospel. I have had a pretty tough time in my life just in these past three years. I have been married, my husband committed adultery, and insisted that we would be getting a divorce. I am moved back in with my father, I am the only member of the church in a very doubting family. I also stopped going to church for about a year. I was so sad and didn't feel god/happy with my life at all. I started up reading the scriptures again and it was like someone switched on the light. "Jessica, you've been needing your church family" I said. SO last Sunday (July 26, 2015) I went to the church in my new town, which is also my hometown. I was scared and thought i was going to feel so out of place because I knew no one. It turned out FIVE of my high school teachers and two of my old classmates were members of the same church! I didn't feel alone at all! I felt so welcomed and it felt like I had been going to church there for years. I was so happy, and have been happy ever since! I am so thankful that the holy ghost caught my attention even in my darkest moments!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by practicing it daily. I sing a lot so I will sing hymns at work, I read my scriptures on my iPad daily. I read the children stories with my daughter everyday. I also listen to the children songs when it is her bed time. I believe that music is so important for our children. I try to remember to live the way Christ would want me to live. being kind, giving to charity, helping others who need my help, dressing appropriately.
