Hi I'm Kyle

I'm a proud husband and father of four. I'm a mortician. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I have lived in Idaho my whole life, except for a short time after high school while attending college and serving a mission for the Church. I grew up playing sports. If there was anything that had to do with sports, or anything competitive, I loved it. I have four children that love life and help keep me grounded. I am a Funeral Director, which helps add perspective to life. I love to spend time working on and around my house, I still love to play anything with a ball, and I love to cook dutch oven food for my family.

Why I am a Mormon

As a young boy, I was camping with my scout troop. Our leaders encouraged us to take one hour each day to go off into the woods by ourselves and spend time reading from scriptures and praying. I had one specific question in mind while doing this, and that was to know if Joseph Smith was a prophet.

How I live my faith

My faith teaches me that we are to try our hardest to be like Jesus Christ and to do what He would do if He was here. So in that light, I love helping those in my community that need the help, especially the children and teenagers. I am a member of the local Kiwanis Club, which gives me great opportunities to serve the local youth of the community in other ways than through the Church. I also am currently serving as the Bishop of the local church congregation. This gives me lots of opportunities to rub shoulders with a lot of people that we live close to. I am also involved with a program in the Church that we call home teaching. This is an opportunity to go to a home and visit with the family in their own home each month. I have two families that I have been asked to go and visit each month. This has been a pure joy as I have been able to get to know not only the parents, but also the children. I have also been the beneficiary of great home teachers and it has blessed the life of my children. Much of the service provided by members of the Church is done behind the scenes, with little or no recognition or fanfare. It is a true testament of how Christ performed service.
