Hi I'm Tashina

I grew up in a small town in Idaho. I attend college in Utah. I am happy, truly happy. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I come from a family of sixteen so naturally my family plays a key and important role in my life. I love it so much that I've been studying Family Life for the last year in college, and plan on majoring in Family Life Studies and minoring in Spanish. I absolutely love and adore my Maori and Caucasian cultures. I love performing polynesian dance, reading mind expanding books, journaling, running races, exercising, playing just about any sport, cooking for large groups of people, baking, talking, and doing hair.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised hearing the story of Joseph Smith and his experience of Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ appearing and speaking to him. It was made manifest to me at a young age by the Holy Spirit that he in fact did see God the Father and His Son Jesus Christ and that he in fact was a prophet of God. Knowing this for myself I came to realize that I needed to act on that knowledge. I did that by reading the very book that Joseph Smith translated by the power of God and that is the Book of Mormon. I read it at age twelve and knew for myself that it in fact was the word of God or another testament of Jesus Christ. The Book of Mormon contains the fullness of Jesus Christ’s gospel and I know that if he were living among us He would teach the very things found in and contained in that book. I love The Book of Mormon because in it I have found so much comfort, understanding, happiness, relief, and too many others to name. It is to the point that I choose to be Mormon not only because I know that this is Christ’s true church but also, because I know that I can’t live without it. I am a Mormon because it makes me happy, truly happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith not only by attending church every Sunday, but I also try to be a true follower of Christ and strive to be a good example, one that He would be proud of.
