Hi I'm Marisa Maxwell

I'm a missionary and a big sister. I love singing, laughing, and spending time with friends and family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Marisa, and I am currently serving as a missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my heart and changed my life, and I am so grateful that I have the opportunity to share the glad message of the gospel with God's precious children all day every day! I have two younger brothers, two younger sisters, and incredible parents. My family means everything to me. They tease me, laugh with me, and love me no matter what. I can't wait to spend the rest of eternity with them. I love participating in musical theater and playing the piano. Though life has its challenges and struggles, I am grateful for the examples of faith and courage I have in my life. My friends inspire me. My family inspires me. God has blessed me with so much, and I rely on the grace of my Savior, Jesus Christ, daily, as I walk through this journey I love--called life. I am Marisa, and I am a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

My faith brings me more peace and joy than anything else in the world. My faith is who I am. It brings me so much comfort to know where I came from, why I am here, and where I am going after I die. My Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ are a major part of my life...every day. When I pray, I know that my Heavenly Father is listening, and I know that He will answer my prayers. My faith gives me direction in life. I have prayed to know if His gospel is true, and He has answered my prayers. He will answer yours too. I know that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is God's true church, restored to the earth again, in its fullness. I know that The Book of Mormon is the word of God. Prayer is our way to communicate with God, and reading His word is His way to speak to us. So many of my prayers have been answered as I have studied God's word. I have read The Book of Mormon cover to cover, I have gained a testimony that it is true. I invite you to do the same... I promise it will bless your life forever. I am grateful to be a part of the work of the Lord in these days. I am a Mormon. I know it. I live it. I love it.

How I live my faith

My faith is honestly who I am. Everything...From the friends I choose, to the music I listen to, to the words I speak, to the things I think about, to the activities I participate in, to the clothes I wear... Everything goes back to what I believe. I love the song, "If the Savior Stood Beside Me." The words describe how I try to live my faith. They include: If the Savior stood beside me would I do the things I do? Would I think of his commandments and try harder to be true? Would I follow his example? Would I live more righteously, if I could see the Savior standing nigh, Watching over me? If the Savior stood beside me would I say the things I say? Would my words be true and kind if he were never far away? Would I try to share the gospel? Would I speak more rev'rently, if I could see the savior standing nigh, watching over me? If the Savior stood beside me, would I comfort those in need? Would I try to show the Savior's love in every word and deed? Would I give to those who hunger? Would I serve more willingly If I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me? He is always near me though I do not see him there, and because he loves me dearly I am in his watchful care, So I'll be the kind of person that I know I'd like to be, if I could see the Savior standing nigh, watching over me.
