Hi I'm Karter Chisholm

I'm an athlete. A missionary. Born in Utah. I love my family. I believe in Country music. I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Karter and I am currently serving a mission in the Manchester, New Hampshire area! New England all the way! I love serving the Lord and representing my Savior Jesus Christ. I love to play sports, you name it and I will try to play it, drawing, eating, biking, skating, camping, boating. I love the outdoors. I love listening to Country music. I believe that happiness is something everyone can have. It is your choice to be sad, or to be happy. So choose happiness! I also believe that a good Disney movie can cure anything.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a family of 7. We all belong to the Church but we have all found our testimonies of it in a different way. We can only lean on others testimonies so long until we need to build our own. I am thankful to my parents for having such strong testimonies for me to lean on until one day at a young age when I decided to find out for my own. I felt like I was living the dream, playing on the school Basketball team, playing football with my friends, hanging out every weekend. But one day it hit me that all this is going to end someday, this is only temporary. That is when I turned to the Church. Every single time I would pray to my Heavenly Father I would feel his love for me and know that I needed to do something more. I began reading the Book of Mormon more. I have now read the Book of Mormon many times and I know without a doubt that Book is the word of God. I soon began to branch out from my usual group of friends to find others. I started to see their worth as sons and daughters of God and how special everyone is. I began to serve others and become a role model to my siblings and others the best I could. The more principles of the Gospel I began to apply in my life the better my life became. My trials and suffering didn't go away. But I was able to receive them with a knowledge that Heavenly Father will help me through them. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't made that decision to turn to the Church. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is where I find happiness.

How I live my faith

I live my faith right now by serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I am out every day doing what the Savior would do, saying what He would say, and going where He would go. I know that Jesus Christ suffered for each and every one of us. He saw my face, every single mistake I ever made, every hardship I will ever go through, and He suffered them for me. So one day I will be able to kneel at His feet and thank Him for everything. I have come to know that when we pray to our Heavenly Father, it isn't us talking to someone that is far away. Heavenly Father is close to each and every one of us. He wants to talk to us. I know that this Church is true and I am so thankful for all my role models in the gospel.
