Hi I'm Caleb

I grew up in Henderson, Nevada. I'm going to serve my mission in Columbus, Ohio.

About Me

I just completed my first semester college. I like to long board and hang out with my friends. I enjoy a variety of sports, including volleyball and basketball. I will be serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, in the Columbus, Ohio mission. I'm excited to serve my mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family active in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I followed my parents example and continued to live the teachings of Jesus Christ and follow His commandments. Through personal study, prayer, and revelation I built off the testimony of others and gained one myself. I became converted to the Gospel a little at a time, slowly building to the knowledge and testimony of the Gospel that I now have. I'd like to bear my testimony of the truthfulness of this Gospel and its ability to change lives. I know that God loves each of us the same no matter what our circumstance may be. I know that we are sons and daughters of a living God. I know that God hears and answers prayers; and if we ask with a pure intent God will answer us. I know that God wants us to return to live with Him. I know that God sent His Only Begotten Son to come to Earth and suffer for the sins of all mankind; that we may be saved through the gift of repentance. I know that God gives us weaknesses and trials so that we may become strong and more fully converted to the Gospel. I know that God loves the family, and has sent us to a family so that we may learn and grow from each other. God wants families to be eternal and has given us means by which every person may be with their family for all eternity. I know that God gave us the perfect example to live our lives by in His Son Jesus Christ. I know both the Bible and Book of Mormon to be true testaments of Jesus Christ and His Gospel. In Jesus' name, Amen.

How I live my faith

I like to help out in the community. Through scouting I was able to participate in many local service projects, including the maintainence and beautification of a local elementary school. I served in youth leadership positions while attending high school, and was part of the National Honor Society. Honor Society gave me the chance to help start a children's library distribution service. Within my church group I have volunteered at local soup kitichens and collected/distributed food to those in need. Both school and church has given me the opportunity to serve my community and fellowman.
