Hi I'm Andreas

I'm a missionary. I was born in Sweden. I have grown up in Vancouver, Washington. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

To start off, I have grown up in Vancouver, Washington, but I was born in Sweden and moved when I was 5. I was fluent in Swedish, but I am not anymore because I didn't keep using the language after I left Sweden. I enjoy most athletic activities. I have played baseball, but usually I play basketball and ultimate frisbee. A few things to describe what is happening in my life right now is that I recently returned from a fall quarter of college at BYU-Idaho. I also considered going to the University of Washington or Washington State. Instead I went to BYU-Idaho which was a great experience and also it helped me to prepare to go on a mission for the LDS church. I graduated High School in 2011 and going to college has been the main thing I have done since graduating, besides working for only 4 months before I left because it wasn't easy finding my first job. Now the next stage in my life will be going to Phnom Penn, Cambodia on a 2 year mission. It will be a great experience to see the culture in Cambodia, the food( which includes eating bugs), and learning the language. Even though I may not use Cambodian a lot when I get back, I am sure this time away from home will benefit me in my life. I am grateful to be a member of this church. I was born with my family as member of the LDS church, but I have come to gain my own testimony of the gospel and I can honestly say everything about this church makes sense and that it testifies of the truthfulness of Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

My testimony of this gospel and of Jesus Christ has grown as I have gotten closer to serving a mission and as I have thought about what I have been taught over the years. I learned to get a testimony that you have to work at it. I know that even after all I have been taught and learned and after I have pondered it that there comes a point when we must have faith in Jesus Christ. That he and our Heavenly Father are real, that we are on this earth to live and have trials, that we cannot know everything but have faith on these things because they are true. I have faith in these things, Heavenly Father wants us to return to live with him. I have a testimony of the truthfulness of this gospel and its teachings and that if we live what is being taught we can find joy in this life. I also have a testimony of family and that it is ordained of God. I have a testimony of the scriptures, both the Book of Mormon and the Bible because they go together in their teachings and both testify of Christ. Lastly I have a testimony that we have a prophet on the earth today and that he guides this church. I am excited to be able to go to the temple soon and then afterwards on my mission. My mission may be hard at times and I do have my concerns about it, but I am looking forward to it.
