Hi I'm Rachel Saunders

I grew up in Utah. I love sports, music and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I enjoy being outside and going on adventures. I spent the summer of 2012 in Skagway, Alaska and loved every minute of it! I love music and play the piano and violin. One reason I love music so much is because it says what words sometimes cannot. I like playing sports, especially softball and volleyball. I spend a lot of time with my family and we enjoy playing games and quoting our favorite movies. I am the youngest of six kids and have one niece and three nephews with another nephew due in February 2013. Family is very important to me and I'm glad to have them in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

The gospel of Jesus Christ makes me so happy! Abiding by the Savior's teachings brings me hope in my everyday life. I know it's true because I have prayed and asked my heavenly Father and through the power of the Holy Ghost, He has made the truth of these things known unto me. I feel it in my heart. I know I have a loving heavenly Father that is aware of me and wants me to be happy. He knows what's best for me and if I trust in Him and His timing, if I am obedient to His commandments, I will receive the greatest and most enduring happiness, in this life and in the life to come.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by obeying the commandments our heavenly Father has given us. I dress modestly, I'm honest with those around me, I look for the good in everyone and am constantly looking for ways I could help others. I listen to uplifting music (I love classical). I have served as a Sunday School instructor as well as having the opportunity to teach in Relief Society often. I learned a lot in my preparation and was able to convey those principles to the class. My favorite part of teaching is when the Spirit of the Lord is present and both the class member and instructor are both edified.
