Hi I'm Robin Robinson

I'm a working mom. I served a mission in Japan. I'm Canadian. I live a simple and happy life. I'm a mormon.

About Me

I am a mom of two girls. I am not out of the ordinary. I work to help pay the bills. It is a busy life between the hustle and bustle of driving kids to lessons and looking after the home and working full time. I am blessed to have a family and a job. I work with adults with special needs on the weekend and run a day home during the week. It's a lot of work. Right now my favourite pass time is sleep, but I suppose if there was more time in my life I would enjoy hiking and learning to crochet well. I think it is important to find time for others and for yourself to renew and rejuvenate your soul.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family with both parents already members of the church. I am continually growing in knowledge and understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Many life experiences have helped me on this journey such as the magnificent youth program that the church has. Weekday evening activities were fun and helped me to make friends that were a positive influence on my life. I also attended seminary and fell in love with the scriptures. I am not a scholar of the scriptures by any means, but when I read the scriptures and learn more of our Savior Jesus Christ I can't help but feel the love of our Father in Heaven. When I read my scriptures it is easier for me to make better choices and to exercise more patience and love. I feel peace in my heart when I read the scriptures, especially the Book of Mormon, and I know this is God telling me that what I am reading is true. I may struggle sometimes and may question things I have learned, but when I think about the basic things I read and learn in the scriptures I know that God lives and that he is our Father, our Heavenly Father and that he sent his son Jesus Christ to save us from our sins. He is a loving father and through Jesus Christ our burdens can be made light. I have experienced His love for me. I want my friends to know that no matter what faith they are they are always welcome and I would be happy to answer any questions they may have.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by reading my scriptures and praying alone and with my family. Family time is very important to me. My family enjoys family night once a week or twice if possible. During family night we visit with each other and play games or do some other activity that we all can participate in. We especially enjoy pizza Friday and movie night. I enjoy participating in church with the women's program. I help prepare and carry out activities for our once a month meeting.
