Hi I'm Nichole

I'm a stay at home mom with 5 beautiful kids. I love to cook, read, and be with my family.

About Me

I'm a stay at home mom with 5 beautiful children and a hilariously funny husband who keeps me laughing. I love to cook, read, and spend time with my family. During my married life, we have lived in 6 different states. Crazy enough our kids have all been born in different states. During my last pregnancy, I almost died from pulmonary embolisms. Luckily, through faith, a priesthood blessing, God's will and modern medicine, I was healed. I thank my Heavenly Father everyday that I'm alive to raise my children. I enjoy playing sports, especially volleyball and would like to take up tennis and golf. We are just beginning to travel more and we have enjoyed seeing new places. Soon we get to go see Italy, Greece and Turkey!

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church but my family wasn't all active until I was 17 years old. I got involved with the wrong crowd, got pregnant, and chose to keep my precious baby. My parents decided then that our family needed to be active in church and to be sealed together for eternity in the Temple. It took this trial in our lives to make us see the importance of living the commandments and in turn receiving guidance from the Holy Spirit and blessings from The Lord. Because of the atonement, I was able to repent, and become clean again. My testimony grew, and I learned that I needed my Heavenly Father more than anything. That I could not face all the temptation and trials and evil of this Earth life without his help. It brings me much comfort and peace to know that I am never alone. That I can rely on His guidance. I have a true testimony, and have come to learn more and more throughout my life, that God has a plan for me, an individualized plan made just for Me! I am a child of God and he is my Father in Heaven. I know he sent me here on this earth to be tried and tested so I can grow stronger and more like my Savior, my brother, Jesus Christ. He loves us so much that he sent us here to Earth with families so we could help each other learn and love. He misses us and he wants us to return to live with him again. He has provided a way for us to do that. We must be baptized by the proper authority and go to the Temple. And then be married and sealed to our eternal companion and children in the Temple for all eternity. My family means so much to me and I want to be with them forever! I am so grateful that because I have followed His plan, my family will be together forever. No one is perfect. We all need the atonement in our lives. We all need the guidance that God blesses us with through the Holy Ghost. He is waiting at the door, all we need to do is let Him in.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I serve as the Young Women's youth group leader. I am over 38 girls ages 12-18. We teach them lessons about the Gospel each Sunday and also meet once a week with them to do an activity or do a service project. I try and encourage service as much as possible because I know that we are the Lords hands and "when we serve our fellow beings we are...in the service of our God. " Our own family likes to reach out to those in our community or in our congregation who are in need. We have donated money, bought Christmas gifts for families in need, taken meals into families, babysat children, etc. whatever we can do to help others, we do it when we can. We know that providing service brings true happiness.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon Temples? What goes on in Mormon Temples?

Nichole
The Temple is the most special place in the whole world to be. I can go there to feel peace, receive answers to prayers, receive guidance from The Lord through the Holy Ghost, or to just get a break from the hustle and bustle of the world. It is a sacred place where the Spirit is strong. It is where we can be closest to God while on this Earth. It is His house and that is why we need to have a Temple recommend to enter. To receive a recommend, a member of The Church needs to be living all the standards of the Gospel and keeping all of the commandments. The Lord's house is clean and pure and only those who have been baptized by the proper authority and proven to be clean and pure and have been interviewed about this can get a recommend. A recommend is offered to any who follow these steps. Nothing secretive happens in the Temple, just sacred. It is so sacred and special that the things of the World aren't to enter as to keep it that way. Show more Show less
