Hi I'm Hannah

I'm a Mormon

About Me

Hey ya'll!! I am a 21 year old girl getting ready to go on a mission this next year! I have been to two years of college and look forward to finishing when I return and possibly going to graduate school. One of my great passions in life is running! I have done a couple marathons and an ultra-marathon; which was my very favorite race! I love crime TV and studying forensic anthropology and pathology. Perhaps I will pursue a career in one of those fields! I also enjoy reading, writing, and watching movies. Some of my favorite films are Super 8, Shrek, The Lord of the Rings, and Killer Clowns from Outer Space!

Why I am a Mormon

My mother became a member of the church when I was quite young and although I was baptized at age eight, I feel that each and every day I become more converted to the Lord's church. I am only 21 but my experiences have shown me that life is a difficult and painful probationary state. At first, this knowledge of hardships past, present, and future made me feel hopeless and afraid. But as I have struggled and endured, I found incredible peace and understanding in the scriptures and through prayer. I will continue to endure because the Lord has promised a fullness of joy for those who follow him and prove themselves worthy in this life. Through daily scripture study and prayer I am filled with hope and motivation to live in accordance with the Lord's commandments and guidance as revealed to us through his prophets today. I have been to the temple and I testify that it is truly the Lord's House and a place of wonderful promises, blessings, and hope. I know that we are all sons and daughters of God and that he loves us and has given us his restored gospel so that we may return to Him, if we are worthy, to partake of a fullness of joy. His is the only way to happiness.

How I live my faith

Every Sunday I enjoy going to church and for one hour during the service I have the opportunity to teach a group of 11 year old children. They are a wonderful group of kids and I am always amazed and impressed by their knowledge and their desire for understanding and truth. I think they might be teaching me more than I teach them. I love when they make me laugh and when we share stories from our past week with each other. Being able to teach and learn from them each Sunday has been a great blessing in my life.
