Hi I'm Benjamin Smith

I love to travel around the world, I love to hang out with my brothers and sisters, I love my lasagna and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm from a small town in Utah, little West Point. I like working with my hands, odd jobs around the house and with the cars in the garage. Still learning how to work with cars, but I enjoy it. I've been able to achieve my eagle scout, throughout my travels around the world. I'm 20 years old, I have lived in Utah, England, California and back to Utah, my Father was active duty Air Force, and because of this I have had the pleasure of meeting many different people with many different backgrounds. I have experienced the differences of people with the the kids that have moved with the United States Air Force, the good and the bad. I love how as a group of kids going to different countries we get close and we get to know everyone and create a bond with them. Having challenges throughout my school career like everyone else, being on a military base doesn't change that, but with my family and friends there to support me and my Heavenly Father there I have been able to enjoy many experiences, and enjoyed the company of many new friends. I have enjoyed playing games with my little brothers, being able to get close to them and also been able to get close to my sisters because of moving around from place to place.

Why I am a Mormon

Well, I grew up in the LDS church. But after my first move with the United States Air Force to England, I was eleven years old at the time, I started to question things. Why was I part of this church, why do my parents keep telling me to stay a member, and questions like that. So after a few years, as a freshman in high school, I was starting to have bad days and I really felt like I was alone. I didn't feel like God was even there listening to prayers, like we were just saying words to air. So one day, after school and just not having a good day. I went to the back room in the house I was living at to get some privacy and to get away from my troubles. As I sat there, I just started to pour my whole heart out to my Heavenly Father. I let him know everything I was feeling. I started asking questions about why things are happening, and more specifically, why I had to be pulled away from my home, my friends, and my family to come to England; a land where I'm a complete stranger and scared about the future and what it holds. while i was asking my Heavenly Father this, I started to feel at peace with things. This peace was the first ounce of peace I had felt in a long time. It was then that I knew that God Loved me and that He was listening to every word we say in our prayers. I also felt that everything would be okay. I'll always be thankful for that night I spent praying to God and I'm thankful that I've been able to meet many people that have been there to help me throughout my life.

How I live my faith

I've lived my faith by showing those around me that I'm a Mormon and I'm not ashamed of that. I'm not perfect in doing that, we all make our own mistakes. But I've done my best and tried to show others that I don't care what they think of me, I just want them all to be happy. And the best way is to live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I'm Currently Serving a full-time mission in the Australia Melbourne Mission. And I'm enjoying meeting new people and helping bring all those around me closer to Christ
