Hi I'm Ryan

I'm a Family Man, a Music and Hockey Fan, a Human Resources Professional, a Real Estate Investor, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I've been married to my beautiful wife for 8 years, and we have 3 awesome children! I enjoy listening to all types of music (especially electronic, indie, and rock). I also like to experiment in writing music on the guitar. I'm a big fan of NHL hockey, and have been since I was a kid. Though I have many interests, my family is my ultimate love and priority and my greatest blessing.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the teachings of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints makes me a better person, and I believe that is why we are all here...to become better. I am far from perfect, but the teachings of my Saviour Jesus Christ help me know what I must do to reach my earthly potential. The Latter-Day Saint church teaches of Eternal Families, Loving Thy Neighbour, and of Living Prophets, and these, as well as many other teachings, appeal to me and my family, and have and will continue to bless our lives.

How I live my faith

The great thing about living one's faith, is that it's a choice. I have found that throughout my life, living the teachings of Jesus Christ has brought me amazing blessings that I otherwise wouldn't have received if I chose a different path. My faith gives me many opportunities to serve others, whether it's within the church, the community, or my own family. I find that service is the closest thing I can do to show love to God.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Because Latter Day Saints are Christians, the Bible is definitely Holy Scripture and the word of God. However, the church also believes the Book of Mormon to be Holy Scriptures, as it gives an account of the ancient people of American during the timeframe of 600 B.C to around 300 A.D and their experiences with God and teachings of their Holy Prophets. The Bible and Book of Mormon go hand-in-hand in teaching the words of God and sharing experiences of their people. Show more Show less
