Hi I'm Camilla Jones

I'm from a small town in Wyoming. I am studying to be a pharmacist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the oldest of seven children and am also the oldest grandchild on both sides of my family. I know what it is like to have people looking up to you all the time. I understand how stressfull that can be. I live in a small town in Wyoming and I love the mountains. My family and I have spent countless hours enjoying the peace and wonder that resides there. I also love science. I am studying to be a pharmacist and am currently working on a degree in biochemistry. In addition to studying hard, I love to read, cook, play word games with my family, and travel.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this church is true. I know that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is our brother who came to this earth to suffer, die and rise again, so that we may have the opportunity to return and live with our Heavenly Father again. I know that I am not a perfect person. I have made many mistakes in my life and that has meant that my Savior, my dear loving Brother, let many drops of his own precious blood fall for my sake. Through His blood, I know that I can become clean again. I am a Mormon because I have felt the sweet spirit of peace enter into my heart when I pray to know the truth of things. I am a Mormon because I know that families can be sealed together for time and all eternity in temples through the power of the priesthood. I know that this church in the true church of Jesus Christ and I know that Christ is the one directing it through modern day prophets. I am a Mormon because I have read the Book of Mormon and I have felt the Holy Ghost's confirmation to me that it is the word of God. I also know that I am a child of God. I know that I am always loved, always cared for, and never alone. That is why I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I have lived my faith my entire life. I was baptized when I was eight years old and have been faithful in keeping the baptisimal covenants ever since then. I am living my faith right now by preparing to serve a mission for the Lord. I have been called by a prophet of God to serve in the Boston, Massachusettes Mission. I am preparing by going to church every Sunday, studying the Book of Mormon and Bible every day, allowing the Spirit to teach and guide me towards becoming who the Lord knows I can become, and praying to God every morning and night. While on my mission I will live my faith by sharing the testimony I have gained with all whom I come in contact with, studying the scriptures daily, praying throughout the day, and living a life as God's messenger. But I do not live my faith because it is what my parents told me to do. I live it because I have taken time to ask God if this is what He would have me do. The answer He gave me was not loud and did not come all at once. It came slowly, and during times when I was doing the things which God has asked us to do. I live my faith because all those small moments spaced over time have combined to leave no doubt in my mind that this is God's true church.
