Hi I'm Stormy Dawson

I am a student at BYU. I have been called to the Washington Seattle Mission and I can't wait to be a missionary!!

About Me

I am a student at BYU in Provo, Utah. I grew up in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I have been called to serve in the Seattle Washington mission. I aspire to become a lawyer. My family and I have traveled all over the world. I was born in Australia. Being outside is one of the many things that bring me joy in life. I have 3 brothers, one, my twin, is currently serving in the Concepcion Chile mission. I am thankful for the gospel with my whole heart. I cannot wait to be a missionary and to share this amazing gospel with the people of Seattle!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a mormon because the knowledge I have through the gospel and atonement helps me through my trials and my pain. I am a mormon because the gospel is based on love, compassion, acceptance, and understanding. I am a mormon because through God's love I know I can return back to Him. I am a mormon because I love this gospel, and the joy and understanding it brings into my life. It helps me understand who I am, where I come from, and who I can become. I am a mormon because the support, knowledge, love, and comfort I receive because of that guarantees I can overcome any trial or tribulation, no matter how hard. I am a mormon because it gives me the knowledge that if I live worthily I will be able to live with God forever. I am going on a mission so that I can share the wonderful love and light of the gospel with those who do not have it. I know that everyone will have the chance to hear the gospel, and I am thankful that I can be an instrument of Heavenly Father to bring the gospel to all of His children on earth. I am a mormon because I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that this church is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by bringing the principles of the gospel into all aspects of my life. I read my scriptures and pray daily, so that I can have the spirit with me strengthening me throughout the day. I try and live the principles Christ taught, to love one another, to have charity, to follow God's word, and to keep the commandments.

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Stormy Dawson
It is important to take care of our bodies because they are a gift from God. Our spirit, which is pure, is in our bodies so we have to protect it with something that is also pure. We were given the divine gift of bodies from Heavenly Father and part of our purpose on this earth is to show our appreciation for that gift by taking care of it. Show more Show less
