Hi I'm Katherine

I have been called to serve a full-time LDS Mission in the Texas Houston South Mission, Spanish Speaking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love gardening, nature, being with animals, and different cultures and backgrounds different from my own. I am so proud of my family and heritage. I love discovering new places all aross this beautiful world we live in! I am currently serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Growing up I have participated in Dance, Soccer, Softball, Piano, Vocal Performance, 4-H and multiple school activities and organizations.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Now that I am older, I have a huge appreciation for my parents' personal obedience as well as my extended family's individual obedience and commitment to this true Gospel. I have grown to know that this Gospel is true through multiple miracles, both big and small, in my life. If it weren't for the pure love that has always been extended to me from those in the church, I know I would not have searched to know my Savior as I have. I know that He has experienced every pain, sorrow and joy that I have gone through. I know with my whole heart that when Christ suffered in the Garden of Gethsemane, He suffered for You. Because of my many blessings, I know that I am here with a Divine purpose. Recently my younger cousin passed away. With his death, I have been blessed to truly know that the priesthood is real, that eternal families are real, and that the ordinances we can all be worthy to partake of in the Temple are real and essential to Eternal life. I am grateful for the knowledge that I once lived with my Father in Heaven and accepted the challenges I would be faced with here in this life knowing that it would be possible to overcome them through Christ and with the knowledge that there are people who love me. I am grateful for Christ's Atonement, because through it I can continually strive to become the Daughter of God my Father in Heaven has always intended me to be.

How I live my faith

As a youth in the Young Women's program of the church I have served in the leadership positions of Presidents, Counselors and Secretaries. I have also served as a Visiting Teacher and Visiting Teaching Coordinator for the Women in my ward. I simply strive to live my faith by loving, serving others and always showing gratitude for my blessings.
