Hi I'm Trevor

I'm a Mormon. I love my family, they are amazing and I love them so much. My family is such a blessing in my life.

About Me

I just graduated from high school, I ran cross country for our school, and I had a lot of fun and made a lot of friends. I really enjoy hanging out with my friends, playing ultimate Frisbee with them, and playing soccer with them. Right now I am serving a mission before I go to college. I am currently serving a mission in Taiwan. I am happy to do this so I can serve my God and help my brothers and sisters find this joy I have had in my life. I am so grateful for this Church it brings so much joy and happiness to my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I have read the Book of Mormon. IT IS TRUE!!! From the Book of Mormon I have come to know my Savior. I have learned about His Atonement, and then I have applied it to my life. I have changed my life. I have come to know that He wants to help us, He wants to bless us, He wants to heal us. So what are we waiting for? Come to Him! Let Him heal you; let Him share your burden; He wants to help you!

How I live my faith

I am currently on a mission to serve our Savior Jesus Christ. It is great. I really enjoyed serving others. This service has taken many shapes and sizes from community service projects to small simple acts of kindness to help lighten the burden of another. I also have lived my faith by setting an example to others. I do my best to always live my life in a way that I can let others see the Lord's "image in my countenance". I do my best to set an example for my family and friends to help them to enjoy the same joy, peace and direction I have tasted through the Savior's Atonement. Right now I am serving a mission in Taiwan, and I am happy to go and serve my God everyday. It is a really great feeling to go out and do service. It is incredible to see so many miracles in my life. It is an amazing feeling to be able to see the Lord's Hand in your life more clearly than ever, and the thing I never realized until now is how God works through us, as President Uchtdorf said in a General Conference talk a few years ago, "You are my Hands". We literally are the Lord's hands when we are off serving one another. Our God is a God of Miracles, and when we act as His hands we can touch the hearts of others, and help others to Change for the Better and touch hearts. I know the Savior lives, His Atonement is a real power and it changes lives everyday - including my own, I know the Savior is helping polish my life everyday through His Atonement.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

I feel that God has us pay tithing so we can show our faith to Him, and He gives us everything. We owe Him for every breath we breathe, and He loans us 100% of what we have. He only asks that we give Him 10% of our income back. Show more Show less

Why is authority to perform a baptism important?

If you went to the store to buy your groceries and pulled a note card out of your bag wrote $5 on it and offered it as payment would the cashier accept it? ... Of course not! The cashier will only accept real money, what is the difference between a $5 bill and your note card? One is backed up by the government's authority, and God has done the same. He has authorized a correct way to accept his ordinances, such as baptism, which is via his Priesthood Authority, and "No man taketh this honor [the Priesthood] unto himself, except he be called of God as was Aaron" (See Hebrews 5:4). God like unto the cashier will not accept these ordinances unless it is done by the way he has prescribed. Here is the Glad News - The Priesthood is Restored! It is back on the earth, and God has given this Priesthood Authority unto man to "act in His name for the Salvation of His Children". Don't just take my word for it, Ask the missionaries - "THEY CAN HELP YOU" - they can share more :) this is the part of the website that will help you invite them over http://www.mormon.org/missionaries Show more Show less
