Hi I'm Jared

I grew up in Idaho. I love anything and everything to do with outside. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors. I love motorcycling, dirtbiking, snomobiling, and basically anything that has an engine and goes fast. I enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, hunting, rock climbing, whitewater rafting/kayaking, exploring caves, traveling, scuba diving, and skiing. I'm going to school at BYU as a chemical engineering major, but that's on hold right now because I am about to serve a mission in Mexico.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was a kid, I was a Mormon because that is what my parents raised me to be. Later however, I started to have a really deep desire to know if all the things my parents had taught me and that I had learned in the church really were true. I had read the Book of Mormon before and I knew all the basics of the Gospel, and if I am honest, I believed it. I really recieved a powerful testimony of Jesus Christ and His restored Gospel when I kneeled down and with real intent(I really wanted to know instead of just act on a belief of something my parents had cherished and shared with me) asked my Heavenly Father if these things were true or not. I remember feeling a profound peace and feeling deep within me that these things are true. Now, I can bear my testimony that I know that Jesus Christ is the living Son of the living God. He died for us all. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints IS the only true and living church on the Earth today. If I had to answer why I am a Mormon it is simply this, I learned about the Gospel, asked my Father in Heaven if it was true, and He answered me through the Holy Ghost that it IS true. I bear my testimony in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

How I live my faith

I attend church every sunday where I teach Elder's Quorum every few weeks. I try my best to live my life in a way that those around me know that I'm a Mormon, and they know my standards and that I don't break them. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and I'm happy to go to church and fulfill my calling.
