Hi I'm Dan Watkins

I grew up in the Bay Area, California. I graduated from BYU in Psychology. I run Sales for Qualtrics. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Father of two. My oldest is almost four years old and my youngest is just turning one. I really enjoy taking the family on vacation and we have been to places like Hawaii, Costa Rica, Grand Cayman, Honduras, Mexico, The Bahamas, and many states throughout the USA. I really enjoy working for the company Qualtrics. I have been there for about 6 years and run sales for them. I head up a team of roughly 130 sales members and have a great team of appx 15 sales leaders. I have always been a fan of technology and enjoy what I do. We have a bull mastiff and he is a great dog. We plan on being a dog family for a long long time. I graduated from BYU in 2008 with a degree in psychology and one day hope to get my PhD in IOPSYCH. i have a passion for learning about people and the way that they think.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because its principles keep me grounded in what really matters, The Family. If the church did not exist I would be a terrible father and a work-a-holic. I still work quite a bit but knowing how my family will be with me forever keeps me motivated to be with them. I really appreciate the peace that the temple brings when I am in times of trial and need answers. Lastly I am a Mormon because I know that living this lifestyle will return me to my father in heaven with my family.

How I live my faith

Currently, My wife and I are teachers for the 4 year olds, but I have had a variety of callings. I have been able to be an Mens Teacher twice and that was by far my favorite calling so far. I have also done Weblos, 8 year old primary teacher, and have been in the Men's leadership group twice. Since we travel quite a bit, a few people in our ward may think we are less active but every week that we are in town we come to church. My favorite hour is the third hour with the Guys. I love the peace that comes with temple attendance and we try to visit every few months and hope to increase that volume. I am committed to keeping the commandments.
