Hi I'm Mason Winder

I'm a student, I'm a entrepreneur, I'm a hunter, I'm a runner, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I am currently studying accounting at Brigham Young University-Idaho. It keeps me busy. I am looking forward to graduating and starting businesses. Business excites me and I am constantly running new ideas through my mind. I am engaged to be married and cannot wait. I feel blessed to have a beautiful girl in my life that makes me always want to improve. I also love to run in races. In the past year, I have ran in a relay race, a half marathon, and two sprint triathlons. It is something that I enjoy, because it makes me feel healthy and it is fun for me to push myself to do difficult thing that cause me to stretch. These are just a few things about me.

Why I am a Mormon

I feel so strongly about the LDS church. I have felt the power of the Holy Spirit to tell me that the teachings of this church are true and from God. The church teaches me the commandments of God, and as I follow the commandments, I feel good about myself. I have been so blessed and live a happy life. For instance, I am diabetic. One commandment is that we don't drink alcohol or participate in illegal drugs. As a result of my obedience to this commandment, I am healthy and my doctors are amazed at how well I am. This is just one blessing that has come to me as a result of being a mormon. I am also very grateful for a knowledge and testimony of Jesus Christ. This has been one of the greatest blessings in my life.

How I live my faith

Every morning I wake up and read my scriptures. This helps me to put God first in my day. I pray daily and I feel like this really helps me to stay close with God. Something I like to do is share an incite of something that I read from God's written word with someone everyday. I do it, because it helps me to think more about the things that I study and keep it on my mind more throughout the day.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Mason Winder
I was a missionary! I chose to serve. I went to Virginia and taught the people there about my belief in Jesus Christ for two years. My relationship with the Savior grew very strong. I believe that this time spent in Virginia was one of the greatest blessings of my life. I have had many opportunities come to me as a result of things I learned a missionary. Show more Show less
