Hi I'm Tara

I'm a runner, a nurse, and a mother to 4 darling children. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as a city girl in California and never once dreamed that I would ever love the country. Now, I would not trade the beauty of the midwest and the open spaces of Indiana for anything! I am a mother of 4 children under the ages of 6. I have a nursing degree, but have put it on hold to be with my children during their young lives. While being at home with small children is a very challenging role, it is also deeply rewarding as I come to cherish each of their personalities and love them individually. I have the opportunity to be involved in our family business by working from home managing the "back office" for our company, including the finances, the records, data entry, and customer accounts. It is a blessing to be able to work alongside my husband and be right alongside my children at the same time.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that were already members of the church. For that I am very grateful. I have been given such a wonderful gift of the gospel that was essentially handed to me. Over the years I have studied the gospel, tested and tried it, and everything about it just makes sense. I realize that this gospel of Jesus Christ is the very same gospel that Jesus brought to the earth when he lived here long ago. He called 12 apostles. He baptized. He administered with the priesthood. He taught us how to love and serve. Today, we are blessed to have this very same gospel, in its perfection, to be restored to the earth once again, without flaw. We have a living prophet, we have the priesthood to bless us, and at church we are taught over and over again how to love and how to serve. Even as a young girl I remember feeling feelings of joy and peace at times of trial. Those feelings were the Holy spirit testifying to me of the truthfulness of the gospel. I still feel those feelings and because of those feelings I have come to know that this gospel is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith most importantly by being an example to my children. I do my very best to teach them that they are choice children of our Heavenly Father and that he knows and loves them each very much. I feel that is my main role at this point of my life. In the past I have had the opportunity to teach the teenage boys and girls at church and help them to develop their own faith and understanding of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The feelings of joy that the gospel brings into my life is something that I want to share with others. I also live my faith by trying to read my scriptures and pray to my Heavenly Father daily so that my relationship with my Heavenly Father and my Savior remains strong. I need those moments of daily scriptures and prayers to strengthen me and help me through long days with my kids. I believe that it is the simple acts of prayer and scripture reading that strengthens my testimony of the gospel the most.
