Hi I'm Vincent

I am a Mormon but prefer to say I am a Christian.

About Me

I am a family orientated person that likes questioning and challenging the norm. I enjoy walking, travelling, cycling and sitting in my conservatory dropping asleep in the afternoon.

Why I am a Mormon

Why, what a question ! I would not have dreamt that I would be like I am today. It started because my wife and I wanted to know which church to bring our daughters up in. We had been church attenders, my wife as congregationalist and I was C of E. There seem to be alot of churchs around all possibilitys saying different things. Then one day a church member asked if we want to know more about Mormons. We both said yes ! The missionaries came around and my wife and I asked lots of questions and demanded answers. They gave us answers to why we are on earth, where we are going and where we came from. We intended to tell them that we were Christians and they were not, but soon realised that they were christians like us. In fact the name of the church is not mormon but "The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints. It was an interesting period with us asking questions and challenging the young missionaries, but soon realised they gave us answers that matched our beliefs.

How I live my faith

I really enjoy going to a church that allows me as an adult to ask questions, have lessons and participate as I wish. As a Mechanical Design Engineer I want to evaluate, check, test, justify, research everything and that includes religion. After over 30 years in the church I am still learning. It is great to be in a church that encourages you to question.

How can I know Mormonism is true?
