Hi I'm Sharlenn

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I grew up in the Philippines.

About Me

I am fond of cooking, singing, driving and even playing the guitar. I am interested about the missionary service of our church, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I am single and I am currently preparing to enter the Philippines MTC on September 2014. I left dental school to serve a full-time mission first but I plan to return after I serve for 18 months. I was qualified to be at the first section of our school but I was firm and steadfast in accepting the call to serve Philippines Cauayan Mission. I received my Institute Diploma last March 2014 and I have been blessed because of the knowledge, inspirations, and personal revelations I received because of attending the Institute. I love the Lord and I will share the fullness of His gospel through full-time missionary service. I have a deep testimony that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the only true church upon the face of the earth. I know that we have a living prophet today by the name of President Thomas S. Monson. I know the leaders of this church are called of God. I know that when we accept the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our lives, we will be strengthened and we will be blessed because of our faith and trust in Him. I know that Heavenly Father loves each of us. He knows the deepest desires of our hearts and He is willing to answer our prayers as long as He knows that this will be the best for us.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born as a Roman Catholic. My first encounter of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was when I was 11 years old. My grandfather is the first member in our family and I saw how his life turned 180 degrees because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ which are taught by the full-time missionaries of the church. I told myself before that I would never join this church but because of much prayer and fasting of a very close friend for me, I know the Spirit touched my heart and I received a testimony that this is the only true church of God upon the face of the whole earth. I cannot deny it for the Spirit imprinted it in my heart. I have been so much blessed because of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And because I have been given much blessings by our Heavenly Father, I want to devote 18 months of my life for full-time missionary service. I want other people to taste the sweetness of the fruit of the gospel. I know that when people pray and ask the Lord sincerely about the truth of all things, the Spirit will also touch their hearts and testify to them that it is true.

How I live my faith

My first calling in the church was a Ward Magazine Representative. My responsibility is to distribute Church magazines to ward members such as Liahona, Ensign, New Era and Friend. Then I became a ward missionary which allows me to serve and work with our full-time missionaries in our ward. This calling helped me prepare to serve a full-time mission and love all the people around me including investigators and nonmember friends. Then I was called to be a Ward Activity Specialist. I am responsible of planning activities of the ward, which main objectives are to strengthen ward members and build unity and cooperation. Then I was called to be a teacher of the Investigators in our ward. This calling has furthered my desire to serve the Lord full-time. It made me realize how important this calling was because this is the first encounter of the investigators in The Church during Sunday School. Sometimes I am given responsibility to teach the adult women of the ward. These responsibilities and callings extended to me by the Lord has blessed me and strengthened my faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He knows my strengths and weaknesses. I know that every calling that I receive from The Church came from the inspiration given by Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ to the Holy Ghost. I am living the way I do so others would see my example and follow Christ to be baptized.
