Hi I'm Cheri

I'm a mom. I love working with children. I love being with my family. I find joy in making others happy. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a stay-at-home mom raising 5 children with 2 angel children watching over us. I find great joy but also great challenges in working with my disabled son. I love playing the piano and working in the kitchen. I love seeing the excitement and happiness in my childrens' eyes when they learn or discover something new. I enjoy making people smile.

Why I am a Mormon

I have found such peace and comfort through some challenging and difficult experiences in having and raising a family. When my oldest son was born with physical disabilities, he was given blessings of health, in spite of medical doctors' poor prognosis. He was able to overcome some very difficult odds, and we have been blessed and guided by the Holy Ghost in making decisions in his behalf throughout his life. I have also felt the spirit of the Holy Ghost strongly at the premature birth of my twin baby boys. Although we weren't able to share much time with them in this life, I have experienced the peace that comes with having the knowledge of things to come after this earthly life. I know that I will see my boys again, along with other loved ones who have previously passed through this earthly experience. I also have peace to know that my family is sealed together beyond the time we share on this earth. I know that I have a Heavenly Father who knows me and loves me individually. I know that I can go to my Heavenly Father in prayer, at any time. I know he hears and answers my prayers. I know that I have an older brother, Jesus Christ, who came to earth to show me the things that I need to do, and the way I need to live my life to be able to return to the presence of my Heavenly Father. He was willing to sacrifice in my behalf, for those things that I cannot accomplish for myself, for which I am eternally grateful. I am grateful for the spirit of the truthfulness of this gospel that I receive every time I read the Book of Mormon. It is something that each and every person can feel individually if they truly desire to know the truth.

How I live my faith

I currently work with the youth ages 12-18. I help teach them about the gospel as well as participate and plan activities that reinforce gospel concepts, and show that we can do fun things within the standards that the Lord has established. I find great joy in the friendships I make with the youth and adults that I work with each week.
