Hi I'm Harold

I'm a Mormon, a Husband, a Father, and Outdoorsman, and a Wildlife Conservationist.

About Me

I am an outdoorsman. I love to be outside doing things but my passion is wildlife. I have a special wife who has blessed my life with four great children. We do a lot of things together. Whether we are in a hunting blind, taking a family drive, helping a neighbor or just making dinner we try to do it together and help each other out. I operate a Bowling Center and enjoy the friendship of those I work with. I also enjoy doing volunteer work for the Idaho Fish and Game and have been able to do some pretty amazing things with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to LDS parents. I grew up in the LDS Church and as I grew and learned I was able to gain bits of my own belief one precept at a time. I love how the Book of Mormon and the Bible work so harmoniously together to teach the gospel. I can't imagine being able to discover the truth without one or the other. I have felt the love of our Savior so many times in my life. Many years ago I lost a sister in car accident. The Holy Ghost helped comfort me and help me understand the purpose of the life and even the purpose of death. Just a couple years ago I lost a brother in a tragic work accident. Even though it was a sad event for all of us, many things took place at that time that I cannot deny were works from the hand of a loving Heavenly Father. Those things helped me come to further know of a greater plan for us on this earth. I have not been a perfect person and those who know me will agree. I have, however, learned that the Savior loves each of us and will forgive us of our weaknesses when we are willing to do our part to repent. I love the peace that the gospel gives me. I love how it feels when I get to witness others feel that same joy in their life and find peace from the evils of the world.

How I live my faith

I love to serve others. I try to teach my own children as well as those I work with in the Church that serving others is something they need to love to do. In my ward, I serve the young men ages 12-18 and make my best effort to teach them be more like Christ. It is very satisfying to me to share my lifes experiences with them in hopes that they can grow and gain their own testimony of their Savior Jesus Christ, rather than rely on others beliefs. By forming their own beliefs they can stand up for their actions and be responsible community members. I feel blessed to work with great youth and I am greatly encouraged by their goodness. Many years ago, I served as a missionary for the LDS Church in Central America. Once my family is raised and on their own, I am excited to serve a mission with my wife. As a couple, I know we will be able to bless others throughout the world by serving them in their needs.
