Hi I'm Andrea

I am a college student. I love the mountains. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at Brigham Young University majoring in Political Science, with the goal of one day becoming a political campaign manager. I am the eldest of six children, four brothers and one sister. I love and care for my family immensely. I enjoy exploring the mountains, playing the piano, reading and learning, eating excellent food, listening to good music, and the satisfaction in a job well done. I am living my life each day striving to reach my full potential. I recently returned from serving as a full-time missionary, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints because it provides me with a solid foundation. I am provided with hope and joy as I study the doctrine and principles of Jesus Christ. I know that if I follow and obey the commandments he has given me, I can return to live with my Heavenly Father again and maintain the relationships I love and cherish most in this life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by obeying commandments, keeping covenants, and living gospel principles. A latter-day prophet, Gordon B. Hinckley, encouraged, "Try a little harder to be a little better." Life isn't easy and I have plenty of things to work on, yet every day I seek to improve and in this I find true joy. By praying and studying the Book of Mormon daily I seek to become more like Jesus Christ and learn from His pure example. Christ showed us the way to treat people, to pray, to marry, to work, to serve, to love, etc. I know that as I follow His perfect example and act on the faith I have in Him, I have promised blessings from my Father in Heaven. When making a decision contrary to my Heavenly Father´s plan, I have the opportunity to make use of Christ's atonement by repenting. In addition, have been baptized by God´s priesthood authority, and have received the marvelous gift of the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost directs and guides my every day decisions if I allow him to. As I try every day, a little harder, to be a little better, I am enduring through hard trials and am on the path to reach my ultimate goal; to return back to the presence of my loving Heavenly Father.
