Hi I'm Whitney Marie Ellis

I grew up in Happy Valley Orem, Utah. I absolutely love to dance. I'm a sister, a daughter, a friend, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I LOVE the Gospel so much!I have danced since I was about nine years old. I am nineteen years old, and have been to many different schools. I started out at LDS Business College in SLC, UT. I then went to BYU Hawaii. I then, finally got into BYU provo and was planning on going their in the winter of 2013. Instead, I decided to serve a mission. I love the Gospel so much, and have grown to love and live it more and more each and every day. It has blessed my life so much. I am also a traveler! I have been to many different places. I have lived in Uganda, Africa for four months doing humanitarian work. I went backpacking across Europe for a month and went to places like, Germany, Switzerland, France. Austria, and Italy. I recently went back to Europe in the summer of 2012 and visited Paris again, and also went to Warsaw, Poland and live there for about two weeks. I have been to a lot of places in the United States, but have never been to Atlanta, Georgia where I will be living for a year and a half serving a full time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. I have grown up with my parents doing foster care my whole life, and it has humbled and blessed my life so much. I would also say that I am pretty creative and very much of a people person. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. I love trying new, different, and exciting things. Again, I love the Gospel so much, and strive to be more Christlike each and every day.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? Why not? I have experienced a lot in my life. The Gospel has helped me through it. I don't know where I would be today if the Gospel wasn't in my life. There was a time where I was really stubborn and thought that I could just figure it out on my own. When doing that, I found myself to be very lost, confused, and lonely. As soon as I realized that I NEED Him it was a very humbling experience. The Gospel is my life. The Gospel is what really matters in this life. I am a Mormon, because it helps make life more sense. I believe that me being Mormon has helped me to help others more and keep a positive attitude. Heavenly Father hears and answers all of our prayers and loves each and every one of us. Me being Mormon is what I have chosen to be. I learn it, I live it, and I love it! I could just shout it to the roof tops.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by listening to the Holy Ghost. The Holy Ghost has helped me through many tough decisions in my life and even simple ones. I am always striving to be more like Him. The Atonement has blessed my life so much. It's a very comforting feeling to know that any sin that you commit can be forgiven and washed away. As long as you keep His commandments and ask for forgiveness. I live my faith by keeping the Word of Wisdom, because, by doing so, it has shown me who I really am, and reminded me what really matters in this life. Heavenly Father loves each and every one of us and hears and answers our prayers. I live my faith by being an example and striving to be more Christlike. Without the Gospel in my life I would not be where I am today. I live my faith, by reminding myself what Jesus Christ did for me and for ALL of us. We are all created equally. We need to treat others the way that we would want to be treated. I live my faith by being an instrument in the hands of God. By obeying whatever it is that He would like me to, and have trust in Him. Choose to obey callings in the church. I choose to strive to be the kind of person Heavenly Fathers wants me to be.
