Hi I'm Sam Jackson

I'm a mormon!

About Me

Currently I am a part time student at my community college. I am a waiter at a family restaurant. I love to travel. Over the summer I went on a humanitarian trip to Suva, Fiji with other teens my age. While there I helped build bathrooms in villages, serve in the schools and bond with the culture and people I met there, it was an amazing experience. I love music, camping, being with my friends and family. I am about to serve a full time mission in the California, Riverside Mission where I will have the opportunity to preach the gospel in American Sign Language.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church on the earth today. I was born and raised in the church but never inquired for myself by praying to God to ask if it were true. When I was 16 years old I was challenged my one of my Seminary teachers to read the Book of Mormon and the Doctrine and Covenants. It really changed my life to read these works and have the spiritual comfirmation through prayer that they were true. Sharing the gospel brings me such joy that I could never deny that God lives. God loves his children. The Church and its teachings provide joy and peace to those who study it and pray to know if its true. Everyone can have an answer if they ask God through prayer.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by serving others. Service is such an important part of being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Seeing the happiness of doing and receiving service is real joy in my life. I enjoy participating in ward activities with my ward family and being able to share the gospel of Jesus Christ.
