Hi I'm Joan Frost

I grew up in large citys all over the US. My dad was in the military. I joined the church 4 months ago I am Mormon.

About Me

I have been married for 41 years, had 2 sons,1 is deceased. We have 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. I love to read and sew and take road trips. I am a nurse in a private physicians office. I enjoy working with my RS sisters on monthly activities, home teaching, and singing in choir.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Morman? Well, I've had a best friend for 17 years who is a member, She and I have been through some hard times together. She was with us when our youngest son passed away. I have helped her through trials with her kids. We have shared her home on Family Home Evening, playing games, watching a movie or just visiting. We never talked about our beliefs. ( I was Baptist). Our friendship grew, she had to move across country due to her husbands job, but she would come bavk out twice a year for a visit. About a year ago my husband lost the job he had for 16 years. He had also had a problem with alcohol for 10 years. After he lost his job he was out driving and blacked out from the wine. He did not hurt anyone or have an accident but went to jail for DUI. I needed some one to talk to so I called my friend, she ask if I would mind if some of the missionaries came to talk to us. I said ok. Two Sister missionaries came and started talking with us about the church. They prayed for us and encouraged us to read the Book of Mormon. At first I did not want to. Some after the Elders came and again prayed for and asked us to read th Book of Mormon. So that night I did. The more I read the more I wanted to know. When I got to the Book of Jacob, I understood the parable! It was wonderful! The elders continued to come and teach, they invited us to dinner in another lds familiy's home. We met member of the church and the Stake Pres. Enjoyed it so much. We prayed about all these new things we had been offered and I made the decision to be baptised. It took my husband alittle longer. But, on the Tuesday before I was to be baptised the Elders stopped by to let me know what to expect at baptism. They asked if I as ready and offered my husband an invitation to join me, he hesitated but, then said YES! So that next Saturday we had a double baptism. Sunday we received the gift of the Holy Ghost and became members of the true church of Christ. We are so blessed and grateful.

How I live my faith

Prayer and scripture reading daily. Participitating in baptism for the dead. Visiting our Temple. Sharing the gospel every chance I get!
