Hi I'm Zack

I'm a student, I'm an adventurer, I'm a language lover and I'm a Mormon

About Me

I'm currently studying to get my associates degree and then hopefully to move on to a four year university. I love to try new things, whatever it might be. I enjoy long-boarding, snowboarding, I play the didgeridoo ( Australian wood instrument) the ukulele and the bass guitar. I served a two year mission in Paris, France. I love to learn about languages because they are what connect us. I converted to the LDS faith at the age of 10 and it has been the greatest decision of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day saints at the age of 10 after being taught by the missionaries. The reason I was baptized and joined the church was because the missionaries showed me that God answers prayers and he can help lead us to the truth. I already knew that God existed because I had felt his presence in the past, but I was unaware of how I could build a relationship with him. I came to the conclusion that God is all powerful and all knowing, so he could at least answer my prayers and tell me what I needed to do. I saw no reason God would be unable to answer my prayer. So I prayed to him very fervently with real intent wanting to act upon an answer and searching for truth. I have never felt such a strong peace and calmness in my life than that day when I received an answer to a humble prayer telling me simply that Joseph Smith was indeed a prophet. I knew from that moment that if Joseph smith was a prophet called of God, that the church of Jesus Christ was restored by him in these latter days. So I began living by the churches teachings and saw nothing but blessings. I know God answers prayers and that he listens, if you pray with real intent, and true desire, God WILL answer your prayers. That is my testimony.

How I live my faith

I love to live the gospel principles and apply all that has been taught into my daily life because of all the blessings I see. I love reading the teachings of Jesus Christ and our heavenly father In the Bible and the Book of Mormon. Then applying these principles that I learn into my life and seeing the outcomes. I know that by trusting the lord's teachings we are blessed. So I continue to trust the lord as he teaches us through modern day Prophets. As he did in modern times he has called another Prophet to give us guidance in these latter days, because he loves us. So I can continue to apply the principles I hear from the mouths of modern day prophets and apostles, and receive the blessings from doing so.
