Hi I'm Andrew

I'm a father, a husband, and a dentist. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I were married in 2009 and now have three sons whom we love so much and have so much fun with! After serving a mission in Sydney, Australia, I returned home to Canada and pursued further education in Dentistry. As of June 2016, I will be a dentist! On my mission I had the opportunity to learn Mandarin Chinese, and I love China and the Chinese people. I hope that in my future I will have many opportunities to associate with my brothers and sisters in China. Here at home, I spend the majority of my leisure time with my wife and children. We love to be active and enjoy the outdoors.

Why I am a Mormon

It's simple, really: I am a Mormon because, as I live the teachings of Heavenly Father, life is better! I can feel God's guidance in my life and I feel a greater love for God and my brothers and sisters. Living the Gospel (the teachings of Jesus Christ) is the best! Both my parents and my brothers and sisters are all members of this church, and I am so grateful to my parents who have raised me and taught me the importance of following my Saviour. In my life, it is so plain to me that as I serve God as best I can, I am filled with joy and peace. There are times when life is tough, but I know that my Heavenly Father watches over me and takes care of my family.

How I live my faith

Currently I serve in the Bishopric in my ward. I am a counselor to our Bishop, who is like a lay minister or priest for our congregation. I love my calling as I get to serve with and get to know wonderful individuals who are great examples to me not only in following Jesus Christ, but in living happy, successful lives. I also enjoy getting to know the members of our congregation and learning from them, as doing so strengthens my faith in Jesus Christ and my love for my brothers and sisters. In the past I have served with the youth, young men aged 16-18 in the Scouting program, and also entertained the youngest members of our ward, the 1.5 year old children. I learn a lot from children and the youth.
