Hi I'm Brock Wyatt Smith

I am in my senior year at Brigham Young University - Idaho. I am a geologist. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior studying geology at Brigham Young University - Idaho, and expect to graduate December, 2017. My primary emphasis is in structural geology and will be pursuing a Master's degree in structural geology and tectonics. I would like to go into either the petroleum or mining fields where I can practically use my knowledge and skills. I would also like to go into Academia one day. Conducting research, analyzing data, and doing field work are things I enjoy doing. My hobbies include rockhounding, hiking, reading, and swimming. I served an two-year LDS mission in Fiji. My basic responsibilities included: supervising and training missionaries, analyzing team statistics to determine areas in need of improvement, mentoring other missionaries to be effective in their responsibilities, and learning the Fijian language.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Throughout my life, my beliefs have guided my behavior and have helped me get to where I am. The Gospel of Jesus Christ has blessed my life and given me direction and purpose. I have been able to see how the Lord has provided for me and has helped me to provide for my family.

How I live my faith

My faith is an important aspect of my life. I attend my church services every Sunday, serve as a secretary to my church group, and strive to better myself. I take time everyday to be with my family.
