Hi I'm Phenix

I'm a Mormon. True blue, through and though.

About Me

Running in the sunshine is my favorite thing to do. I'm a firm believer that everything is better with Nutella on it. I also love reading fairytales, telling campfire stories, playing the piano and working with my hands.

Why I am a Mormon

First and foremost, I am a Mormon because the gospel of Jesus Christ is on the earth today as the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. God has shown his hand in our day and has restored his power and authority (priesthood) through the same organization that existed in Christ's time: through prophets and apostles who give us divinve counsel and revelation. The doctrines and principles taught by the church are true. The gospel has brought me so much joy, so much peace, so much hope. I am a better person because I've been converted as a follower of Jesus Christ in his true and living church. When I say I'm a Mormon, I'm really saying I am willing to follow the example of the Savior and be baptized in his name in his church. I am a Mormon because it is God's will for me and I know it will continue to bless my life as well as my family's life throughout the eternities. I know that through the teachings and priesthood power the Savior has given us, I can live with my family and with God forever in perfect happiness.

How I live my faith

I'm taking a year and a half away from my personal life, schooling and family to serve a full time mission in Scotland and Ireland. The gospel of Jesus Christ has brought me more joy and happiness than I could ever describe so why wouldn't I want to share it? I love helping people in any way I can: cooking a meal for a sick mother, volunteering to babysit for my neighbors and planning community service projects. I love serving in my local congregation by helping coach the young women's basketball team, teaching Sunday school for primary children and visiting other members.
