Hi I'm Meagan

I am a full-time student at BYU. I am a persistent reader. I am a soon-to-be sister missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Important things to know about me: I love to read. I love to sing. Music is one of the most important things in my life. I have a great desire to become a mom just as awesome as my own mother. I go to BYU and trying to get into their very difficult business program. The most important thing in my life though is my family. I could not do half the things that I have done in my life without the loving guidance that my parents and siblings have shown to me. I am the third oldest in a family of six kids, with only one boy. I have a great passion to make others like me and to be an example to my younger siblings of what is right. I have a sister on a mission now that is showing me what a true disciple of Christ is. I have the most awesome family that loves to laugh and to just be the crazies that we are. I have just recently been called to serve in Brazil, and know that is exactly where I need to be.

Why I am a Mormon

Why I am a Mormon. Wow that question brings tears to my eyes because being a member of the LDS church is the defining characteristic in my life. I have gone through many trials of faith that have built me up so much and have strengthened my testimony in the gospel. Being a member my entire life I have been able to help others see the truth and to even be strengthened in what they believe in. I have also been strengthened by countless members and my testimony has been strengthened too. Being a member has not always guaranteed that I would believe. I have gone through my own spiritual conversion to the gospel and I have come out the other side a stronger, more devoted disciple of Jesus Christ. My true conversion came in high school my Junior year when I was feeling so lost about myself and didn't know if I could find the true me. My older sister went through a trial that wavered my faith in Heavenly Father. I didn't know that it was through him that I kept going every single day. One night I had enough and got on my knees in prayer. I knew someone was listening but instantly I felt peace. This may not happen to everyone, but to me the knowledge that someone was out there listening to my aching was enough to be converted. I have read my scriptures and have received blessings that have helped me know that I am on the right path in my life and that the only true happiness in life comes through our Savior, Jesus Christ. I know that through him I have been saved. I am so grateful for his sacrifice for me. This is the true church on the earth, and I am so blessed to be a member and have an opportunity to share this gospel with others!!!

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith through the teachings that I have been given from leaders that have taught me in the past. I have learned so much about faith in the past few years and I am so grateful that I will be able to teach others through my own experiences. I am a five-year old teacher at church. Those kids teach me more about the gospel through their own sweet spirits than I could have ever imagined before. I have been able to be a president for my young woman's class and love to work with the youth of the church. I have had the opportunity to have been born into the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Things that have helped me learn more about my faith is by going to the temple, praying, going to church, repenting, partaking of the sacrament, and reading the scriptures to the best of my ability. Even being a member of the church my entire life, I still learn so many new things about the Book of Mormon and about the Atonement. Something that completely changed my life was in the past General Conference when our prophet and leaders get to speak to us. I learned that I was able to serve a mission earlier than I had anticipated. Through this message I turned in my mission papers and received my call less than two weeks later. I have never felt the need to serve a mission so strongly until I saw that I would be teaching the people of Brazil. I can't wait to be a missionary and know that no matter what, I am doing what Heavenly Father wants me to.
