Hi I'm Kimberley

I grew up in Maryland, I am a substitute teacher, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I love to do yarn and needle crafts. I have two pets I adore. I love substitute teaching. I attended college and got my Master's Degree in Teaching. I also enjoy TV and spending time with my family. Christmas is my favorite holiday, as I love watching people open the gifts I get them rather than receiving gifts myself. I have worked with the elderly as well as in retail, but my passion is working with young people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I feel as though the principles of the church are logical and make sense. When I really started exploring Mormonism, I realized that there were few significant differences to how I grew up and to how I had felt my whole life. The ideas and principles that the Mormon Church believe in answered all my questions as to the relationship of Jesus, Heavenly Father, and the Holy Ghost all interacted and worked in my life.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by actively participating in my ward, and I also live my faith by reading my scriptures every day and praying to Heavenly Father. I don't smoke or drink, or do drugs, which help me keep tuned to the Holy Ghost's callings. I show people my faith by trying to treat people the way Jesus treated people. I live to be an example of both a good Christian and a good Mormon.

What are some things that tell you there is a God?

I believe that God created everything in the universe, from the beginning. In the Bible, it states that "God created the heavens and the earth." He also created all creatures on the earth, including man. I think that he places in us an innate need to seek a higher power to guide us, and that power is him. Even in the midst of the worst of disasters, both human created and otherwise, God has his hand in comforting the hurting. I also see God in the perfection of a flower or the breeze that blows on a summer day. Nothing is created by chance. Everything is purposefully created and we are all "fearfully and wonderfully made." Show more Show less
