Hi I'm Kris

I'm an adventurer, I'm an actor, I'm a costumer, and I am a Mormon

About Me

I would describe myself as an adventurer. It's that need for excitement in my life that has lead to some of the hardest times of my life and some of my greatest joys I'm a firm believer that God wants us to be happy and do all sorts if new things, to discover this world that he created for us. I recently graduated with my associates in Musical theatre. I love being on the stage. The ability to see the world through a new set of eyes is just thrilling. It is probably what draws me the most to theatrics, to discover life as never seen before. I like to think of myself as a "Crafter" I quilt, Knit, Crochet, sew, am super handy with a glue gun. I've tried my hand at designing costumes and loved doing that! I'm always looking for my next adventure! The latest? an 18 month mission in Arcadia Cali. And from there we will see where The Lord leads me.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it is where I find the most peace in my life. Being Mormon for me is a sign of hope. Our Heavenly Father has given us such hope through the gospel that we might be perfected through him. There is just such a sense of love and belonging within this church. It gives us a sense of purpose that without we would be lost. Being a Mormon means that I know who I am. and it didn't take years and years of searching to find out, and even though I make mistakes I know that through the saviors atoning sacrifice that I have the chance to be forgiven of those Thing that I have done that are wrong. I love my Heavenly Father and I am very anxious to see what he has in store for me in California and hope that I might be able to share what I know and hold dear with them

How I live my faith

I want everyone to know who I am. I am a daughter of God. And that knowledge of ones self worth is truly a gift in these days. How I live my faith is that I share it. I try to live life he best way I know how with the hope that some one will want to know why and they'll ask. And usually even if they don't I'll tell them.

What do Mormons believe about the Bible? Do they regard it as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

We believe that the bible is gods word, IF it is translated correctly. We use the King James version for English and I personally love it! It has some of my favorite stories and lessons, ones that I go back to for comfort and inspiration. Show more Show less

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

The men are required. It shows there love for their Lord and his gospel. Women however are not required to go. But that does not by any means that they can't. I personally am so grateful to have the chance to share what I love with those I meet in California Show more Show less

How can I know Mormonism is true?

I'll answer this question by sharing what I did to know of the truth myself. When I went up for my first year of college I had to make the choice for myself what I was going to do and what I'm going to believe. And sadly enough up to that point I did not already come to any decision. So I opened my Book of Mormon. Now I've read the book before, but this time was different. I read it that time to know for myself of it's truthfulness. It took me a good week to finish it and when I did I took up the challenge found in Moroni 10. I found an empty practice room and knelt by the piano bench. I prayed. I asked God about the book, the church, everything. I offered up my soul to God expressing my frustrations, my hopes, my fears. Because If it was true, I was going to have to make a lot of changes in my life. I was far from the teachings of my parents and the values I had grown up with. So I had to know for sure that this was going to be right. because I was going to give up everything. When I was done I waited. I don't know what I expected. Fireworks? visions? Well I didn't get anything like that. To be honest I felt disappointed in myself, in my lack of faith, that my answer that was nowhere to be found. Suddenly it hit me. I had the softest feeling. Like laughter that bubbled up inside of me. and I felt this peace. Peace that gave me the strenght to turn my life around and peace that gave me my answer. You have to find out for yourself. nobody can tell you. It's up to you. Show more Show less
