Hi I'm Teerah

I was born into the gospel. I was inactive at one point, but now I am preparing to serve a mission. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a senior in college graduating in Health Science. I transferred from a state school, it was one of the best decisions I ever made. I am putting off graduation to serve a full time mission in the Italy Milan mission. I love to travel and see other countries, I have been to Turkey and Greece. I grew up dancing, preferably hip-hop, it is my favorite! I was inactive at one point in my life, while I was in college, but I changed who I was and became more like Christ created me to be.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents are converts, the church is what saved their marriage and then I was born. The gospel was always the center of their lives, and I believed in the blessings of the gospel as well. But I went through something traumatic and therefore did not value the things I once did. I became inactive. While I was in college I realized how unhappy I was and that the direction that I was going was destroying who I was. I felt that if I chose to follow my Savior that I would be taken care of. That all he asks of us is to choose Him. I thought why would he help me after all that I had done to turn away from Him. But then why does a Father love their child? I realized that He loved and trusted me enough to give me the trials that He did so that I would have the chance to choose Him. I am a mormon because it is what saved my life, it is what brought me into this world. I am the happiest when I am following my Heavenly Father, and he has blessed me more than I ever thought possible, because he loves me.

How I live my faith

I follow the teachings that we have been taught. Knowing what it is like to not have the gospel in my life makes it worth it to live that way that He has asked us to. He has asked us to be there for others because he cannot be here physically everyday. I make friends with people, and live a way where at times they ask me questions about what I believe and at times they don't. I had a big calling in the church, and at times I knew it would be hard but I knew that if I just loved those that I was serving than it would be worth it. I live my faith by caring for those that I meet and the friends that I have.
