Hi I'm Maggie

I grew up in Utah. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up as the middle child of seven children. I played sports all growing up including soccer, basketball, and track. I ran hurdles for my freshman year at college. I am majoring in broadcast communications. I love being active and spending time outdoors. I love to experiment with the ingredients in my food. I love spending time with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Mormon faith, but I still had to receive my own testimony of the truthfulness of the gospel. I know the Mormon Church is true because I know God lives. I know he answers my sincere prayers. I have known what friends to choose, what college to attend, what to major in, and to serve a mission, because God has answered my prayers. When I was 8 years old, I was baptized. I had the most amazing spiritual confirmation that my sins were forgiven me and that I was now officially a part of Christ's church. I know that through Christ's atonement, we can all make it back to live with God again. I know Christ lives and is at the head of the Mormon Church--The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I know Joseph Smith saw God the father Jesus Christ, and that he was instrumental in restoring the true church in these latter-days. I know the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and by reading it we can gain spiritual enlightenment and true conversion. I have read it multiple of times, and it always rings Truth. I know Thomas S. Monson is the living prophet today that guides and leads this church. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

I visit a couple of ladies in my ward. It is part of my calling. I enjoy the time I have to interact and strengthen the woman that live around me. Beginning January 2013, I will be serving a full-time mission for the Mormon Church. I am excited to dedicate 18 months to God.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Maggie
I pay tithing because I know that this is the true church of God and I am willing to do anything to further the work. I know my money goes to build churches, temples, and other important things. I have been so blessed from the 10% income I have payed. I have been blessed monetarily, but more importantly I have been blessed spiritually with the comforting hand of the Holy Ghost.
