Hi I'm Bailee

I'm an aspiring world traveler. I love food, humanitarian work, and history. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love to read and play the piano. I want to be a high school teacher one day, to teach history or art or really just be a student for the rest of my life! I would also like to travel the world with my students. Food is one of my greatest loves! I'm always willing to try something delicious and new. I love salmon and pizza and gelato and popcorn and ham sandwiches. I also love indie music, anything with acoustic guitar. I like to be creative, and I love running and hiking. One day I will go rock climbing and white-water rafting, but right now I am serving a mission for the Lord!

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in a non-religious family. I found myself craving something more from life, feeling like I had more potential than I was showing. I wanted to live a life full of service, love, and optimism. This gospel gives me that, and so much more! I know that many find this religion strange...it's probably true. But once you receive the personal testimony about the truth of Jesus Christ's restored gospel, you wonder why it took you so long to believe! I know that this church is Jesus Christ's true and restored gospel. I know that God loves each and every single one of his children. I know that Joseph Smith did speak with God and translated the Book of Mormon with the power of God. I know that this church follows the promptings and revelations given by God today. I know that God speaks to his prophets and apostles on this earth in these present days. This testimony is like a solid foundation in my soul. It has substance. It fills the holes in my heart that I didn't even know existed until they were filled, and it brings me more happiness than anything else in this life can.

How I live my faith

I have learned a lot lately about coming to Christ and being perfected in Him. One of my favorite scriptures is Ether ch 12 vs 27. I have experienced this in my life as I try to grow closer to the Savior. He is the refiners fire, and He makes me better. I try to live each day better than the day before. I think that is what make Jesus Christ proud of my efforts, when I am better today than I was yesterday. It also makes me so very happy!! I try to live my life with the Light of Christ in my countenance and uplife and edify others. Service is another important aspect of my life. I try to do what Jesus would do.
