Hi I'm Reed

I love Scouting, Taught School for 38 yrs. Love Trains and Woodworking, I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love Scouting and enjoy the outdoors. Hiking and camping are energizing to me. My wife and I built our home that we live in. We have 8 children and 21 grandchildren (at present). I love to travel and see new places. I love Costco Polish Hot Dogs, I love walking and talking to my neighbors. Trains are my passion. To have to wait for a passing train is a treat.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born in the church. I have always believed that the church was true and that it gave me guidance on how I should live. The scriptures gave me comfort and good direction. They made me know who I am, where I came from, what my purpose was, what I could become, what was important in life, a way to live that pleases me, and to accept others for who they are. I accept Jesus Christ as my friend and personal Saviour.

How I live my faith

I have been in Scouting for 30+ years. This gave me opportunity to teach many youth and work with adult leaders in achieving Scouting goals. I love visiting members and non-members. I just enjoy people in general. They teach me so much. My family is important to me and doing things together is a lot of fun. It brings wonderful memories to draw on later. I believe in the Scout laws. They are rules to live by. Being Trustworthy, Loyal, Helpful, Friendly, Courteous, Kind, Obedient, Cheerful, Thrifty, Brave, Clean, and Reverent. These are qualities that I try to live by and this helps me live closer to the way that the Saviour wants me to live.
