Hi I'm Brandon

I grew up in Idaho. I love the outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love anything that puts me outside. My latest obsession is mountain biking. I currently own a Cannondale bicycle and love that beast. I have attended college for one semester and am deferring for my mission in Carlsbad, California. I have two siblings and one niece and three nephews. I love those too and would do anything for my family. I was taught by my father, above all else, to be a gentleman. My first consideration is always the women I interact with when I am making decisions. I am an Eagle Scout and will never forget my experiences within scouting and the lessons I learned.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church. My parents grew up in the church. As such I don't really have a "conversion story" like many others. I read the Book of Mormon straight through for the first time as a sophomore in high school. We were studying it in Seminary and we were supposed to read it over the course of that year. When I finished, I decided to try out Moroni's promise and knelt down to pray to God for confirmation of the Book. I can't describe my feelings as an overpowering witness of it's truth, but I felt that I had always known it was. I have taken that witness with me throughout the rest of my life. I know that Book is true. I feel like I have always known that. As I've gone further in my life, my testimony of Jesus Christ and of His ability to comfort each of us has grown beyond my wildest dreams. As I've gone through all the trials of my life, I have felt the comfort of His love time and time again. He is real and He loves each of us more than we can ever comprehend. I don't really care where my life takes me or what happens, nothing will ever change my testimony and knowledge of His gospel and of His reality.

How I live my faith

I am serving for the next two years as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the California, Carlsbad mission. I will spend this time serving everyone around me both physically and spiritually. My job is to do all I can to help others come unto Christ and find God in their lives.

What do Mormons believe about the nature of God?

God is in every sense of the word our father. He created our spirits as well as our bodies. He loves us more than we can even understand and comprehend. He would do and has done everything with the sole intent of helping "to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man." (Moses 1:39) He is perfect and wants us to experience and have everything He has. He has established a plan that allows us to do just that and sent His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to suffer for our mistakes so that we could be forgiven. Show more Show less
