Hi I'm Sarah Joy

I Love all and Hate none. I'm just livin' life, and learnin' from it. I'm a Mormon, are you?

About Me

The Number one thing to know about me is that I’m in love with music. Not just listening to it, but playing it. Music is my drug. I can’t go one day without it. The moment I picked up an instrument in 6th grade was the moment that I wanted to teach music to kids. I wanted to show kids how to love and appreciate music just as much as me. I started out with percussion in band then I switched to trombone and now I’m on the most beautiful instrument in the world¬–The Viola; a deep stringed instrument that is beyond explanation and granger. I’ve chosen to stick with this instrument now that I’m in college studying at BYU-I. It’s my love and passion along with singing. I’ve also been a tomboy most of my life. I use to only dress in guy clothes and I would never put my hair up. Now that I’m older I’ve had a change in style, but my hardcore no fear attitude towards life and everything else helps me see things in a bigger perspective. Life is short, so live it up (in a good clean way). I’m very interested in a lot of guy activities just because I grew up with brothers and my mom isn’t the most girly women you’ve ever met either. My whole family rides motorcycles and we all have our motorcycle licenses, we all own and shoot guns, I love to travel, go boating, camping, fishing, hunting. Basically, l love to have fun. I love to laugh and I love to make other people laugh. People say I’m funny, but I think they’re just saying that. I'm just livin' life, and learning from it.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm Mormon because I know this faith and the Church is true. When I was 13 years old I still didn't know if there was a God. I questioned and wondered, and one thing led to another and I decided to get my Patriarchal blessing. I didn't even know the man who gave me the blessing and he said things about me my life that I know were directly from God. From then on I've never questioned my role and purpose here on Earth. I will never doubt this church, and everyday I'm reminded of it's truth. I'm a Mormon because I believe. I believe in God and His Son and in the Holy Ghost. We are here to prove are worth and to show our Heavenly Father that we can make it back to him, no matter what. I'm a Mormon. Are you?

How I live my faith

I live my faith by most importantly striving to live and not break the commandments. I strive to keep my body as a temple, pay my tithing, live the law of chastity, and by sustaining the prophet and his leaders and other members in leadership positions. I try and exercise my testimony at every opportunity I can. There's so many small little things that I should be doing so as to live a better and more enriched life, but I try not to let those stress me out and make me think I'm a ruthless sinner who will never do anything right or something. I keep the bigger picture in my sights and in my path of life.
